What’s Next

Mon, Mar 18: Troop Meeting, Scout Hut (7:00pm)

Welcome to your new Troop website! The old website served us well for many years but it is time to move on. I hope you find everything you need here and if not, just let me know and I will see what I can do to make t140denton.com the information treasure trove that helps our unit run as slick as snot on a pump handle.

You will notice that the most of the information you grew accustomed to with the old site can also be found here. The “What’s Up” section keeps you informed of near-term events as well as events happening farther out. You can also find all of the documents and forms in this section.

The “Sign Me Up” section is where you will be able to sign up for upcoming campouts and other events. This section also contains the packing lists and a way to pay your account.

The “About Us” section provides much of the information that prospective and new scouts and parents are looking for. At the bottom of this section is a way to subscribe to the various communications that Troop 140 uses. If you received an email announcing the launch of this new website, you are already subscribed to all communications. Please note that within these communications will be options for UNsubscribing as well.

I would love your feedback on the new website as well as receive your input for other ways we can use this resource to help our Troop run smoothly.

Thank you for your patience during the construction project!

–Mr. Moody

Merit Badge Mania will be held on September 6th and 20th in Bridgeport, Texas at the Wise County campus of Weatherford college from 1-6pm. Scouts MUST attend both days. Scouts have the opportunity to earn up to 3 merit badges with a total of 65 merit badges to choose from. The fee for the Merit Badge Mania is $20 per Scout. A few of the merit badges have an additional charge. The merit badges that require an additional fee have the fee printed on the Merit Badge Selection Sheet. The format for the classes will be three 80 –minute time slots. Scouts need to select 8 desired merit badges in order of preference. Some of the classes require more than one session. Scouts need to have read their merit badge books in advance of class. Scouts need to wear their Class A uniform and bring their own pen/pencil, paper and merit badge books. Homework may be required between classes and may require additional work after the second class to successfully complete the merit badge requirements.
